White stockings are another firm favourite of mine. It is not a colour you see very much in tights and I would never have thought of white stockings until I tried them.
I first bought them last year when I went to the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and I wanted something special to go with my lovely prom dress. I hadn’t worn stockings and suspenders in years and decided to treat myself.
I couldn’t find anything in any of the high street shops that we had locally, so ended up at Ann Summers .
Ann Summers is obviously best known for anything and everything to do with sexual pleasure, from lingerie to toys and everything in between.
I find it very sad that one of the very few places to buy proper stockings and suspenders is in a sex shop. Stockings and suspenders should be much more widely available on the High Street. They are so gorgeous for everyday wear and not just for the more “glamorous” professions.
I felt so glamorous at the Last Night of the Proms, sat in the gallery, with an amazing view, just running my hands down over my dress and feeling my stocking tops and clips underneath. I felt really glamorous and sexy.
That led to me trying white stockings with other outfits and I have been surprised at the dresses they go well with.
These have included a white skater dress, with black markings, a pink dress, a white multicoloured full skirt dress and even my grey knitted dress.
White stockings work well with both black and tan heels.
The Ann Summers White Stockings have done really well. They sit high on my legs. They have a lovely lacy top to them, which makes them really easy to fix into the clips. They are not too thick which can be difficult to connect to the clips, but are light and soft and lacy.
They have also kept their colour, despite frequent washes. I have managed multiple wears out of each pair as they are robust and don’t ladder easily.
White stockings work well with a white suspender belt, bra and panties and they can also work well with blush pink lingerie.
I have a collection of both and regularly alternate them with my white stockings.
One of my favourite white suspender belts is called a Lace Planet Waspie from Ann Summers. It is a wider suspender belt and is a real figure hugger.
