I first fell in love with Burlesque photography a few years ago when I came across a book called “The Art of Boudoir Photography “by the amazingly talented Christa Meola and her gorgeous boudoir photography.
I was then very fortunate to win a Boudoir Burlesque Photoshoot with Andrew Wood Photography. This was the first time I had ever done anything like this and I really did not know what to expect.
I already had an interest in Women’s Pleasure, as I had written my first book “Orgasm Your Way to Prosperity” back in 2014. When this prize came along at the end of 2017, I jumped at the chance to do, not least to have some new photographs for the revamped version of my book “The Pleasure Path to Wealth.”
My Life and my State
This was a totally different experience to my second photoshoot in November 2021. Not only was it a different type of Photoshoot Experience but I was also in a completely different place, mentally, emotionally and physically.
I was at the tail end of my marriage, just a matter of months away from finally filing for divorce to bring that 30 year relationship to an end. I was considerably heavier than I am right now and was struggling with depression, deep unhappiness with life and very poor self-worth and self love.
I was still feeling the Pleasure energy, which had never gone away, in fact it was increasing by the day. The more I moved into menopause, the more the sex and pleasure hormones increased and the more they were tugging at me for attention.
I thought all of that was hormones and menopause and whilst that probably contributed, it certainly wasn’t the whole story.
As I look at some of those photos from October 2017, when that photoshoot was done, I can certainly see the attitude of “I’m done with you, done with this whole thing! Me and my sassy sexiness are moving on!”
There was also a tinge of sadness, maybe nostalgia in some of the photos. A real that something was ending and needed to make way for something new to emerge, which it did over the following 12 months when I went through a divorce and it continues to emerge every day.
The Photoshoot
The photoshoot itself was an amazing experience. The staff at Andrew Wood Photography were brilliant.
First up was my hair and make-up. I don’t wear make up on a day to day basis, so I was quite staggered at the layers of make up that were applied. However I watched myself be transformed into a very glamorous Pleasure Queen.
The lady photographer was amazing. Whilst she had some ideas of what was included in the standard photoshoot package, we seemed to have a lot more time to explore some of the ideas that I wanted to create.
My Stockings
Most of where I wanted to play was photography of my stockings, my long coat and my cane.
I was delighted with the results and ended up using some of the pictures for the front and rear cover of my book “The Pleasure Path to Wealth.”

It was an amazing, Fiery, Sassy, Sexy Boudoir Photoshoot at Andrew Wood Photography with some really Classic shots, completely different to my White Sheet Boudoir Photoshoot Experience with JBM Photography, which was a much gentler, more subtle and more sensual experience.
I loved them both and both have certainly stimulated my ongoing interest in Boudoir and Lingerie Photography.
