Some of the most delicious ice cream I have eaten was in the little village of Masca, high up in the mountains of Tenerife. It is now reached by winding mountain road through some spectacular scenery, although for many years it was only accessible by boat.
The ice-cream is made from the pink fleshy part from inside the leaves and it is delicious.
Obviously helped be some stunning views!
Delicious and well worth the trip. This was part of a day excursion to Mount Teide National Park and it was a really interesting day.
